As Far As The Eye is a strategy game where you will have to help a tribe build a shelter in order to protect them from an incoming wave that will flood all the areas that surround you. It presents a unique take on your typical city-building games as it also incorporates RNG and turn-based elements. 

Similar to games like Majesty: Gold Edition, you will need to construct buildings and collect necessities in order to sustain your villagers or Pupils. This game from Unexpected also has some unexpected challenges up ahead that can slow down your journey.

Manage unexpected outcomes

To start, you can choose from four tribes in As Far As The Eye, with each one having its own traits and capabilities. You can then begin traveling a procedurally generated path, which depends on your movements. Players will have to assign roles to each village member and raise their skills in order to collect more resources. There are more than 90 specializations and 120 traits available to make use of.

You can only stay in one area for a certain amount of turns, as well, before the flood catches up to you, so you will need to manage your resources properly. There are random events that you can take part in to collect additional items or recruit new members. Players can also customize their gaming experience by choosing the terrain’s look, the number of traits to obtain, and the difficulty.

This strategy game also features aesthetically pleasing graphics that you can enjoy staring at for extended periods. You can even see how various weather conditions can uniquely affect the in-game world’s environment. However, seeing as many of the events that occur are RNG-based, it can be unnecessarily difficult to get past a certain point in the game, even with a lowered difficulty level.

Some areas of As Far As The Eye can be nearly impossible to move past but the game still offers an incredibly well-thought-out design that makes it worth struggling through. With stunning visuals packed with unexplored lands, you can discover various paths to take in order to save your pupils. The numerous randomly generated events also add a touch of excitement that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
